Consider these strategies for improving your connections and building stronger relationships with your leaders.

Use the language of leadership

Leaders can often look at projects with a strategic lens, concentrating on results that impact the company’s financial performance and the benefits they bring — often being business and feature value.

By using the language of “leadership” to engage in effective communication, you need to match your team’s goals with the overarching business objectives. Think about aligning your own goals, to your team goals to your organizational goals, which is what I refer to as “adaptive management”.
